Firebreak follows Mara (Belén Cuesta), a woman recovering from the death of her husband, Gustavo. Mara takes her 8-year-old daughter, Lide (Candela Martínez), her brother-in-law Luis (Joaquín Furriel), Luis' wife Elena (Diana Gómez) and their son, Dani (Mika Arias), to her family's cabin as she prepares to sell it.
While packing things up, they learn of a nearby forest fire that forces them to evacuate. After getting in a fight with Mara, Lide ventures out into the woods alone. Eventually, Mara and her family load up their van, and are about to leave when they discover that Lide is missing.
Their neighbor, Santiago (Enric Auquer), offers to help as Mara and Luis search for Lide in the forest, but time quickly starts running out. As the flames grow, so do Mara and Luis' suspicions of Santiago being involved with Lide's disappearance.
So, with Lide missing, and her family on a desperate search to find her, here's the ending of Firebreak, explained.
